Panigale v Mclaren P1 - £2,000,000 deal

Not sure if this is a repost. Apologies if so. Basically these two muppets have to "work" on this Panigale 1299S, to get it to out perform a Mclaren P1 and clinch a sale. Take it with a massive pinch of salt and ensure you can afford to waste 45 mins of your life watching it.

Thanks from Phl, oracle462 and HeronB

Spoiler spoiler!!!!!!

The results surprised me being as the shakedown lap was done in the wet.

I really don't believe the result on a wet track, not being as the P1 is supposed to be the closest to a street going F1 car.

Was hoping Moto Rapido was going to be more involved in the parts selection, I'm sure they were behind the scenes, but for the project they were doing, I would like to have seen some more exotica in the way of the forks and brakes, maybe some engine internals, etc..
Thanks from Phl

Chuck that fake exhaust tip and get a custom tip on a wsbk type exhaust if they really need to match the car exhaust, redo the vinyls a little, and it could be a nice bike.

Really? Fake exhaust?

Would have been good if they had started with an SL and then modded. I suppose the dealer was trying to keep as much profit as possible.

I'm not going to watch the movie.... I drive a Mclaren 570' and it will kick the pani's ass I don't care who is riding it. ( my wife could out run any superbikes on the way to the gym, while doing her nails driving it)

On Friday 20th at our local track I will be testing the new 720

I love superbikes but you guys need to appreciate the laws of physics are your limit .... grip, drag, traction ...... super cars have four contact patches bikes have two. Drag being the biggest hurdle at high speed.

Don't mean to sound pompas .... because I was the one who complained about the 1299's reliability, and was told off by the older more senior riders on this forum. I am on the Ducati forum and I'm a cry baby..... if my mac leaks or has an issue the U.K. Will fly a tech to my house in 12 hours, that boys is service!

But he'll ye we just give the superbikes the middle finger and they don't leak...or need coolant.....or bleeding of the clutch.. or need dealer support at 2000km
Reason why some of you nobs love your Ducat
But i still love my pani, looks great in my garage.

I suppose you get what you pay for, and there is a small price difference between the McLaren and 1299 I would think.

Your a legend Captain and don't sound pompous at all. Just need to take stuff on the chin and get along with others. It's not a competition Captain.
Thanks from Prince Albert and Captain Greg
