I'm doing my oil as it's about a year since the service but it's only done a 1000km in the last 12 months

I see it was delivered with 5W40 so I decided to stay with this.

Have you had any issues with your bike? I see our warranty expires in 2 weeks

In year one I had some dash lights going on which rectified itself, think some wiring got wet. Year two the quick shifter packed up and I replaced it with a Translogic quickshifter.
That's it.
O, And one rear tire and one front tire.

Interesting comment?
We had a workshop in CT before the dealer opened shop, the man who has stripped more Pani's and more Ducati engines than the dealer ..... he is also the one with performance tuning and race bike engine development ...he says 5w/40.

Yes the CT dealer managed to get two big drums of motul 15w/50 at a good price....but I went shopping and I must confess the price was simply not part of my importance list, I was looking for the best protection.

Are you suggesting that this is the incorrect oil?

300v,

Australia is like $120AUD for 4l. And no local supplier so online order only for me...
I only use it cause its the only oil that seems to stand up to the high heat where i live. also do track work so change oil more than a normal street only bike.

Wonder how hard you looked. This is from 2015 1299, looks the same for mine 1199R

It come from the factory with 15w50. You can adjust the oil based on the climate you use in.

Anyone have tried Motorex RACING PRO 4T 15W50 -> https://www.motorexusa.com/collectio...g-pro-4t-15w50
apparently was designed for Ducati and Triumph , and when we thought Motul was most expensive
