Engine oil

Was thinking of replacing the engine oil, do any of you guys run Motul 7100 15W50?
My bike on delivery had shell 5W40?

I like motul products and was wounding about 7100 versus 5100.

Engine oil

Lol really get the cheapest stuff you can. I use Castrol racing 4t full synthetic 10w50 6qt for like 48 bucks shipped from Amazon. Probably cheaper than your motul half blend. If u want to spend more get ams oil. If your still not satisfied and want to spend even more u can get motul 300v Imo the best but not needed. And if you want Ducati type of spending you can get shell advanced

To spend anything more than 10 a qt is totally insane but do what you like yet you want to use a blend smh.

Is 300v better than 7100?
I just believe that good oil is a cheap insurance against wear?

I have been running Motul 300 for the last 10 years always been good to me. If you look around you can get a gallon for about $63 shipped to your door.

motul 300v imo opinio is the best oil around however if you change it often 1 time a year or more its a waste of money.

300v is the top of the line of the motul oil. 56 is a fantastic price but still not castrol price of 48 shipped for 6 qts.

do what you like this argument has been going on forever. in my opinion motul 300v is the best but its not 4 dollars a qt better than ams oil and sure as hell isn't 8 dollars a qt better than castrol

i have so much of the castrol its crazy. the bmw has it as the recommended oil. i buy it sometimes 40 bucks for 6 qts on amazon you can look for the specials sometimes people post them on here.

2 jet skis both use the castrol racing 4t 6 qts for both

bmw hp4 castrol racing 4 t call it 4 qt

07 ninja zx6r almost 4k track miles castrol racing 4t call it 4 its

12 panigale almost 12k miles castrol racing 4t call it 4 qts

just never saw a reason to switch or go more expensive do the math 48 dollars for 6 qts and ill say 70 for 4 qt of motul. with all the oil changes it sure does add up

total in oil changes for math purposes ill say its 16 qts (45 bucks for 6) castrol is 135 rounded and ill have 2 qts left
vs 280 for the motul assuming you can get it for 70 for 4 qts.

so i can do 2 oil changes for each machine for the price of 1 change per machine with the motul
