Help

So i went to crank my bike for nice December ride. Got nothing. Figured I'd just jump it. Got it turned over but it wouldn't run for more than a minute off the cables. So I put it back on the cables and let it run for about 20min. I know I know when at idle the bike isnt producing enough power to recharge the battery. Anyways after 20min I pulled the cables and again it died after a min. At this point i started doing research on good smart chargers and end up running to Walmart to get a Battery Tender Junior. Based on reviews this was a good choice. Got home plugged it into the SAE connectors and the dash red blinking light comes on but looks to struggle. The interesting bit is that now I have an audible beeping sound coming from under the tank. It sounds like a series of beeps. Now my first though is that maybe the junior sized 750ma tender is not enough and I really need the 1.25amp tender. My second though is that my battery is just flat out dead and the tender size is not the problem.

Any advice would be helpful.

What they said....new battery and you'll be happy again, but keep it on a tender when not in use on a fairly regular basis.

I replaced the lead acid battery after one year , because I knew that between the vibration and the engine heat, the battery would let me down.I installed a Shorai and I've had no problems. It weighs a lot less, and the discharge rate when not in use is very low. No need for a battery tender.

Same here, I always buy SHORAI! Even when I first got my 1199, I HATE using Battery tender because You have to keep it plugged in every day! Or it will Not keep your battery 100% charge every day. SHORAI battery will keep it charged for 3 to 4 months without riding your bike. Iíve done it.
Love SHORAI!

Lol you don’t need to have a battery tender in everyday, lead acid bricks do hold charge for quiet awhile.

I will never buy a shorai again, there shit many others have had problems including catching fire.
