Saw a whole special on Cape Town, three months of water left??
Yes Cape Town is very low on water - level 6 B water restrictions with the local authorities getting ready to truck in water points where people can collect up to 25 liters per day
It's bad, our gardens are dying and even basic hygiene will become an issue for lower class income homes.
The more well heeled have no issue, we have private boreholes with on site filtration
Like anything in life the poor are effected the worst
The government was warned 20 years ago this problem is coming, but they have purchased BMW's and holiday homes and squandered the cash raised in taxes to build the infrastructure all spent by a handful of ANC thieves.

The problem is the people and engineers warning the government of the issue were all white Afrikaans men like myself,......and the advise was deemed racist.

The SA government does not employ any white people and ......well history has proven black engineers are far and few and in the country our higher education is a joke with people getting engineering or medical degrees for just attending a college or varsity..... so now they suffer from there own doing.
The previous water minister (a black women) went on record to say that the previous white government made the dams too big and therefore they can't fill ??

Having no clue about global warming and it's impact.....she thought that shit only happens in Hollywood

Fortunately some are listening and we hope by end 2019 to have dome desalination (like Dubai) up and running, it's delayed because out cANCer government needs to award tenders.

but before that they need to decide witch cadre will get some of the pie.
Thanks from NOLA

That's what I thought. They failed to mention that on the special!!
Only showing people lined up for water. 20 gallon/day limit total per person.
90 second shower etc...

Desalination is the worlds quick answer to a drying climate but arenít looking at what flooding the oceans with extra salt is doing because itís already at saturated levels.

Also interesting that the air pollution is absorbed by oceans/lakes and turning them acidic.

Simply there is too many people on this planet.

find an old open cut min and start backfilling......

Gorgon LNG trying to re-inject CO2 back into the ground (like what they already do with nature gas in places) but no to much success....

I donīt know if it is a good strategy to ask for help at the same time you insult.
