I Ride: 2015 1199R
everyone should have a 1299SL & you wouldn't need anything else - its very versatile

2015 1299s
2007 gixxer 600 (track and street)
08 r6 (track)

The gixxer is more comfortable than the panigale but not nearly as fun. If it's a longer ride to somewhere in particular, the gixxer is the bike. The panigale is for clowning on fools.

So I'm not nut's.. I like the riding position but it's just finicky cruising. Always find myself at 3-4k rpm's.
Riding hard it loves it and sounds fantastic.

Now just got to figure out how to get the GSXR in the garage without the wife seeing. LOL

I Ride: Motorcycles
I have a few. But the s1000 gets most of the riding as it is so easy for in town jaunts.

I have owned two S1000RRs in the past. The motor is amazing; the press focuses on it's top-end power, but that's not what makes the motor so sublime. It's smooth, like electric motor smooth. You could ride the bike with only 1st and 6th gears and get by fine. If you put a 7000rpm rev limiter on it, it would be one of the best beginner/learner bikes around.

And that's why I got into Ducati. The riding experience was so competent that the bike lacked soul.

Anyways, I digress. I have a Multistrada Granturismo that's supposed to be my daily rider. But I put twice the mileage on my 1299S and ride the Panigale far more often, even on mundane trips. It's this fact, that I consistently pick the Panigale over the Multistrada (which is a PHENOMENAL bike and I do love riding it), that I put up that thread about longer-lasting tires, and last night a friend was very kind enough to install a Rosso III. It's the first change away from the Supercorsa since I bought the bike in 2015. I'm pretty curious to see how it feels, so poor Multistrada won't be ridden today.

Dragster. Super comfortable for long rides and a fun overall bike. Plus, it's a looker, just like the 1199 so there's no compromise there.
