My input on a couple tuners I've used

Have a 2015 1299 base. Installed Termi slip ons and filter.

Stock- simply is just bad. Weird starting, stalled 8-10 times in 300 miles, surging/bucking under 5000rpm ect.

Rapidbike- Ran it for a year. Much better than stock, still had a weird start and not smooth under 4000rpm but better than stock. Never stalled but took some rev to leave a light or it would choke. Definitely happy I had it.

Bren tuner- Being a car tuner myself I knew doing the pcm would be best. After taking off the rapidbike I got the Bren tuner setup. First start the bike sounded smoother and idled like it never has. Took it for a long ride and with the tuner in it I can cruise at 3000rpm like I never could before. Everything just feels tuned now, throttle response, transitions ect. The bike even runs roughly 10 degree's cooler everywhere. Definitely less heat on my thighs.

So, figured I'd throw this out there for people looking at tuning options.
Thanks from trooper3, GunMoto, AaronJ and 1 others

I can’t believe how smooth the RapidBike made mine run, no matter what cans. I mean rolling off idle in gear.

Almost unbelievable someone switched to something else after that.

It was good. Reason I had it for a year plus. Figured I'd try a flashed computer instead. Now it's even better.

been debating on the Bren flash but would prefer to see some dyno graphs (before/after) to see what kinda of gains throughout the rpms you get and how well it smooth's it out.

Custom tuning is 95% drivability, 5% dyno. Since I'm street riding low throttle input is much more important to me than a dyno graph. I'm sure this is good but for all out/wot any bike should be tuned on a dyno for wot fueling and timing..

I tune build/cars for a living so I know the importance of tuning the driving conditions. Right now finishing a 1000rwhp street car.

Lots of the bmw guys use brentuning and love it! I was a little concerned about going to alpha-n tuning as it only uses tps and rpm. Was wondering how it would determine load or the ram air effect at triple digit speeds (ducati uses mph)but I guess they have it figured out.

I prefer stand-alone vs piggyback. Wish end user could adjust fuel mapping. It does have ability to read & clear codes, reset maintenance lights & maybe even the desmo Service light.

I do not know the setup but I would guess this also is tuned off a map sensor too. That would give ya full access of all load table's.

No, alpha n is strictly tps & rpm. No map or maf or airflow meter. It’s used in cars with multiple individual throttle bodies (butterfly per cylinder where vacuum goes very low on just slight opening. Not enough resolution to use map signal)

Speed density uses map values. Mass airflow systems measures total air mass. Airflow meter is another type that measures air but only measures volume (barn door that swings open in proportion to air and sweeps across sensor for position) it doesn’t measure density (cold air more dense so more air molecules then hot air of same volume )

Theory: Alpha-N ę Moates Support
