How to hang your Helmet.. SNUG and Tight...

I was in Daytona this weekend for Bike Week, and wanted to figure out a way to hang my helmet on the bike, without causing any damage or scratches and putting this brand new helmet on the foot peg or under the seat cowl were all a NO NO.

so i finally came up with a fix. I went to honda and got the $7.00 helmet cable
OEM 77236-KAZ-780, i use to have one with my 1000RR.. so here is what I did

Wrap it around the helmet chin straps like normal, clip it on the hook. inside the seat cowl

Bring the cable down the side of the seat...slide the seat cowl on...BE SURE TO HEAR THE COWL CLICK... once it clicks its in there...

Helmet is snug and will NOT move. Ive already had two of my Ducati brothers go get the cable... ... just spreading the love enjoy...

No interference with the seat or riding position
Thanks from Phl

Hang a 1000 dollar helmet off the end of your bike? Nahhh...I'm good.
Just kidding. Just not for me.

its secured like every other helmet is secure to any other bike. via the seat cowl and locked... cant be afraid of getting the helmet stolen... im more worried about GETTING THE WHOLE BIKE STOLEN. Either way.. just giving people the idea of how to LOCK your helmet to the bike.

understood, i was just giving you a hard time. i know there are times where it is impossible to take your helmet with you but you plan to be within sight of your bike....so i carry a long bike lock and set my old helmet on the ground so at least someone won't walk away with it.

i know during our rides when you stop to get gas and go inside the convenience store, in our neighborhood you can just hang your helmet but still i try to tuck it under the bike. this new helmet though is never going to leave my head or my hand.
