I Ride: 1299S with many tasty mods...
Being a n00b to Ducatis (this 1299S is my first) but not to 1000cc sportsbikes, I dislike some simple design things:

1. Removing the bottom two screws to fit a new screen requires removing the nosecone. On nearly every other bike on the planet you remove the 'sensible' screws and it's a two-minute job.... Ridiculous.
2. Coolant reservoir tank is black plastic! WTF?!?! Why would you even have high/low markers when you can't read the levels?
3. No fuel gauge! Minor gripe but they can't spare a few bucks in addition to the very advanced/complicated electronic wizardry on the bike and have a fuel gauge??

My best buddy has a BMW S1KRR and while they are totally different bikes all three of these gripes are no issue on that bike. Still - I'd have the Duc hands down any day...
Thanks from bnt007br, able duc and Kev242

They're all plenty fast anyway. The S1KRR feels like my R6 on steroids. Bland on the street, amazing on track. I'd rather the twin engine also.

I donít mind the no fuel gauge, but when my gas light comes on and off even when I still have a half tank of gas...thatís pretty annoying.
