Replacing clutch pressure plate

I'm currently filling up parts bins in the garage awaiting the arrival of a 959 Corse (my first Ducati).

I've recently been looking at the Ducabike clutch covers. If I change from stock to this then I'd probably want to change the pressure plate too and wondered how awkward/fiddly a job this is? Any tips for how to re-align things perfectly with the new pressure plate as I assume the plates drop a bit once the stock pressure plate is removed?

It seems fairly straight forward but is it a real pain in the ass getting the plates all lined up properly again after removal? If it is then I'll probably just go with the cover and spring retainer.

Thanks in advance

I Ride: 2013 1199S
I’ve done a R1 clutch replacement, the plates don’t drop. It’s a simple swap though I have seen there is a tool to hold the basket you may need.

Thanks mate

The only video I could find on YT showed lateral and vertical movement in the plates once the pressure plate was removed. They mentioned about using a thin pick to hold them in place as you put the new one on but didn't actually show them doing it - that's what is making me think it's a bast*rd of a job!!

Any idea what the tool is?

Please can you elloborate? Looking at the two links below it looks like it's a direct fit?

https://conquestcarbon.com/product/d...-clutch-cover/

The magnesium cover is referenced for the 899 but not the 959?
