2010/11/12 MTS1200S Suspension upgrade

Just blogged the spring upgrade to my Mutley suspension. Ohlins semi-active SCU on order too.

RIDE UPDATE: Well on a pre-load setting of 2, the bike feels exactly like it did on the old spring at 6 (kind of figures as if the scale is linear, that would relate to a roughly similar difference in the new spring rate) - and ironically softer than the GT does on standard solo setting. This was something of a relief given I was a bit concerned the new spring would feel over-sprung riding solo. Now just got to try it two-up - looking good!

The 10/11/12 MTS is under-sprung for two-up and loaded riding. There are two stiffer springs than the standard spring available. Blog post explains. 2013 bike's new suspension doesn't have this issue.
