Superleggera Track shots

Had the opportunity to run the SL at NJMP for a TPM Open Day. Put about 160 track miles on it. Biggest comment was the improved turn in ease compared to my R. Power delivery very similar. Lots of cool new features including the ability to change on of 3 parameters on the fly via a up / down switch on the left bar. EBC, DTC, and Wheelie Control. Added Sliders, Stompgrips, DP rearsets and radiator guards.

Track bodies are a problem as the rear tale is different from the standard 1199. The carbon tale underbody does not have the same mount points. Curious to see if anybody has a solution for this. Here's some shots.

We've were just discussing this at the track this weekend, I think the ideal solution is to get a single-piece monocoque carbon tail to replace the entire tail assembly. Still not cheap, but come on, it's an SL! And that way it won't add any weight to the bike, vs. bolting on a complete racing subframe (aluminum, $550 and then a normal fiberglass race tail). $1900 is about the going rate for them from various manufacturers.

that is different and the front fairing also is the same width as the regular bike withe the wings attached. . . The new foot pegs are a lot grippier and almost negates the need for a rearset /if/ the location is a good fit for you.

I agree this would match the SL quite nicely. This is the Full-Six (nee CDT) piece that I saw at the AIM Expo last October:

Boy Jarel I knew you would have the way around this problem! Can you suggest some manufacturers of the carbon tail assembly?

Thanks
Jon

Thanks, spoke to FullSix, it would be awesome if it mated to the subframe but it doesn't. What sux is that they kept insisting it did. Also can't stand that they have a 6 week lag time.

Not sure what you mean by mating to the subframe? The monocoque tail is a complete replacement for the entire subframe and tail section.

We sell the FullSix CDT ones, as well as Carbovani. Last FullSix we ordered only took about 3 weeks, so I think it varies. It's a VERY nice piece, very light, and the fit is very good. I may have a very slightly used gloss carbon one for sale shortly, unless @Akillya decides he wants it since we were discussing it last weekend.

Which sliders and radiator guards did you use? Can you post links to each?
