Wet clutch is for wimps

Ok Sunday morning rant
As the panigale spins to life I was thinking out loud why did they go to a wet clutch it's such a p.ssy move

I miss the hard core pull

My 899 has a good heavy clutch pull. Has nothing to do with wet or dry. It is the "self servo slipper" that makes the pull easy.

Probably because generally speaking, a wet clutch should have a longer life and take more abuse from a rider and probably easier for a novice rider. Not that our Panigales are for beginners but maybe that it takes to abuse better might be the reason.

also, a wet clutch is supposed to launch easier.

I agree, dry clutch is such a 90/00 thing... Was cool before, but let's move on thank you.

Dry clutches behave much better on high temperatures and do not additional heat and pollute the engine's oil (go up to 700 DegC). Thats why Moto2 and MotoGP bikes have them!
