Well don't tell anyone but I got from a reliable source that they're down 30-40 bhp so that the press guys who rode them wouldn't kill themselves and could write glowingly about amazing they are that they could ride such a powerful bike so well.

"Ducati made a masterpieces that just does everything well and is so well sorted out of the box. It's very easy to ride fast."

I thought they went the Ferrari route and specially tuned the bikes/used sticky tires
