The 1299 SL's for sale here are asking $147K/Au or $91,409.75 Euro.

Yes they don't make them anymore yes there is only 500 of them are they getting the asking price hhmmm they are still there for sale!
I personally like the 1299 FE you can save a squid load of cash for another project.
Better you give it to your kids for their kids as thats what you will be looking at if I had the $'s to buy one then hell yeah on the road to whip supercars to death.
Thanks from auco

Motorcycle as an investment = Nope

Too many things would have to align for it to pan out, and especially considering the time it would take to realize any worthwhile gain, the money would grow significantly more in almost any other regular asset category (based on historical performance).

Both 1199 and 1299 SL have come down in price, getting ready for the V4 GP or SL spec bike.

Never buy a bike as an " investment" imo.
Its a gamble that usually doesnt pay off.

You're better off investing in something like a car thats already proven to hold value and has no other way to go but UP.

Say any older air cooled porsche for example. ( just a single example obviously)

Cars have the same fate only a few that do go up in value..... then it becomes value only in the eyes of the buyer.

That was a fun video. To the OP. If you have the cash and don't go out and buy it after watching that video, you have more discipline than me. I would buy one if I had the cash and not for an investment.

Well it's better than the Matt LeBlanc review of the SL on Top Gear.

"It goes left and right real good!"
