I'm amazed how much the 1199 Sl's depreciated. You would think that the closest thing to Ducati's last L Twin WSBK would have held its value a bit better than it did.

Anyone know of anyone that wants an absolutely mint SL? I may toss it on BAT with a reasonable reserve and see what happens. If I have to hang on to it I guess I'll live; I could definitely have a worse problem on my hands.

Book is showing them at 67% of original MSRP. That's about on par with the rest of the Panigale line. Resale sucks across the board.

Fun fact, the Panigale is the first Ducati model to NOT win a WSBK title in the history of the series.

I think that a majority of motorcycles depreciate like crazy. Some cars can be a good "investment", if you want to treat them like that because anyone can drive a 918 but you need some skill to ride a motorcycle, even slowly, so they're not as resistant to losing value as cars are.

Looks like the owner and Duc Austin are tired of sitting on this. It's tempting at $35k.

Wow. That's a big price reduction. Definitely not looking forward to taking the hit but its time to let it go. Whole lot of motorcycle for that price. I'd like it to go to someone who's going to treat it right. Any forum members in SoCal that are in the market are more than welcome to come check mine out.
