Which Ducati V4 do you plan on purchasing?

Now that the all new Ducati Panigale V4 Superbike has been announced, which Ducati V4 model do you plan on purchasing?

990Glen Nov 6th 2017 12:54 AM

You forgot the "none of the above" option.

Phl Nov 6th 2017 01:20 AM

"none" option added.

RD16RR Nov 6th 2017 04:10 AM

It's like walking into a brothel and you're faced with an all hands on deck line up. The hostess recommends this special lady, stating she's got the best maneuvers, best stamina, best attitude, best in every which way, except her face is butt ugly. What will you do?

For the US? Would be odd to lower prices in the US.

Phl Nov 6th 2017 02:57 PM

Oooops, looked again
21k base
27k S
~39/40k speziale

Wow!

With the usual dealer BS setup and freight charge and tax, the first adopters will be pushing 30K for the S and that's just way too much for a motorcycle.

reganc Nov 7th 2017 01:59 PM

anyone considering the 959 Corsa for $17.4 seems like a great deal.

BenF04 Nov 7th 2017 03:18 PM

Keeping my Anniversario and considering the Speciale.

youngR Nov 7th 2017 03:23 PM

Its more than that. It has Mag frame instead of alum on S and base.

V4 in the beggining of 2018

crossdx Nov 13th 2017 01:36 AM

Hi, just placed a reservation on a V4S and decided to register. Been lurking these boards over a year since I was considering the 1299 when it launched. Looking forward to getting that V4 in 2018. Cheers

Thanks! Will definitely do. One of my first feedbacks will be how hot it is to ride in a tropical country. ;) That aside, I'm so looking forward to this bike. It will be my first Ducati superbike and first V4 bike. Forza! :D

cmh210 Nov 14th 2017 06:12 PM

Well you picked a hell of a bike as your first Ducati, hell yeah! :)

First Ducati superbike, I've owned a Ducati before, a Diavel Carbon a few years back. Great bike!

Been wanting a V4 and almost got an Aprilia, but dealer support here is nonexistent.

Sergiomala Nov 25th 2017 07:27 AM

Placed an order this morning on a V4 basic. Can’t wait.

TOBTEK Nov 25th 2017 07:57 AM

No V4 for me........ I'll have to rough it on my Old outdated 1299R FE, LOL.

timwu12 Nov 25th 2017 12:19 PM

No V4 for me right now either. Gonna wait for the successor to the panigale line up

DucSyd Jan 5th 2018 02:09 AM

I have a Speciale on order. It will go with my other Ducatiís including my 1199S.

Cheers

NG01 Jan 11th 2018 05:06 AM

Ordered V4 on the 13th November, 2 more months to go for delivery, glad i hold the urge to get the V-twin Panigale and waited for the V4 instead. Keeping my monster still, good for double up my wife or the little one for short trip....:)

Thats what I am doing but I will keep the 1299s due to it being the last of the superbike V-Twin.

Phl Jan 23rd 2018 07:12 AM

option added:

a used one in 2-3 years

:D

DucatiTerminator Jan 23rd 2018 09:01 AM

Most likely an R for me in a couple of years, but I'm already saving for the 100th Anniversario Desmosedici RR 1200 Superleggera Speziale FE in 2026 ;) lol

Mutt1979 Jan 23rd 2018 10:40 AM

V4 r :D

Chill Jan 23rd 2018 10:36 PM

I am! I don't really need the power from the V4 but the trick suspension, the TFT display, its very hard to resist, on the other hand the price, ouch!

what really surprised everyone with the new V4 is the handling, handling, handling beside the obvious 216 hossies....the electronic package might as well be the market leader as well unless some other brand come on with something new.... ;);)

Thanks for your comments :) I really look forward to reviews on the non S V4 because that is not much more expensive then the 959 Corse...

What number is yours?

1299rFE Feb 2nd 2018 09:15 AM

No V4 for me

I opted out of the V4

I guess I am a traditionalist. I love the L2, its what built the Ducati name.
For the price I paid for the 1299r FE I could have had the Speciale. The reason I picked the FE over the Speciale is because the FE is like a 71 426 Hemi Cuda convertible. A very rare and special machine, raw and enough torque and power to satisfy the most power hungry senses your mind can develop. The Speciale is like a Gullwing Mercedes.
The FE is a designation and solute to what Ducati was and how it got there.

How is an early 70's Hemi Cuda more traditional than a 1954 300SL Gullwing Merc?
