The S model DOES NOT come with a carbon front fender but rather a black fender. Also the cast magnesium front subframe is on BOTH the base and S models. Ducati's website is not correct. I actually looked at both versions at Ducati of Newport Beach to verify this info.

sorry if this is a bit basic, but specifically with the suspension, what are the real world differences between the V4 and V4S?
is it just the riding modes?
and i'm assuming if it is, i can manually set those suspension 'scenarios' even with the settings available on the regular V4?

thx.

Nope, the electronic suspension changes damping rates constantly based on input from the IMU. So..... it will be softer or stiffer based on throttle input, lean angle, etc....

You can program it to be stiffer during breaking, yet softer during cornering and so on.

Also, the actual suspension is different.... you get ÷hlins hardware with the S

thx @burton
if i primarily ride on the street (track days are few and far between) would i benefit (safety) from the V4S vs the V4? i'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the real world advantages.

buying a 24k(cdn) and 32k motorcycle is significant.

context: riding for about 20 years. been to the track a dozen times. at the peak i was riding with the fast guys in the middle group. but now,.. rides are less and less often. ..lost my edge

but always loved the panigale....

Honestly, I donít think that itís a big safety benefit. One could argue that the electronic suspension is better performing in a wider set of circumstances as it is constantly self adjusting to provide optimum grip and therefore is a safety benefit but.....

I canít imagine anybody saying that their Showa BPF caused them to crash.

The suspension on the base is still pretty good.

Also, try Maranello Moto sports in the North of the city, I got a pretty good deal from them and they seem much nicer to deal with than the people at GP Bikes
