Love it or hate it, I think it's constructive to fill out the survey. They go into detail over which design aspects are good and bad in your eyes. So honest opinions will hopefully help them do a better job with the next version.

I hate the fairing and tank design and it's very unlikely I would buy this bike. Although the dealership convinced me to keep my deposit down until I saw it in person, which I'm actually doing tonight. Will report back if my opinion changes and maybe with some pictures.
Thanks from Ashes and adrian7

I Ride: Anything with 2 wheels!
They are also taking a survey on the 959 Corse.

I don't know how anyone could think that they put out the survey because they think they made an ugly bike. They don't think they made an ugly bike and I suspect the sales will prove them right.

I'm sure they want to track the feedback and tie it to sales over the launch and product lifecycle and use it to benchmark future products and designs. Business 101.

DING! DING! Winner!! They also want to make sure your local dealer gets a chance to contact you about the bike if you are interested enough to take the time to fill out a survey about it.

I find it hard to believe that Ducati is in any sort of panick that the OP is implying. The bike is not even out yet. It's extremely common for existing owners to not like many aspects of a vehicle when it first comes out. I see it all the time on car and bike forums. They are far more interested in how many buyers they get.

Just did the survey fwiw. Quick and easy.
Personally I think bike development is a process that precedes manufacturing changes by some time. Maybe a year or more.
Suppose Ducati wants to know what is mostly disliked and will then address these factors in MY 2019 or later.
Can’t blame them for trying to give us what we want.

I can't wait to test ride once the dealer demo is available, probably 2019 since 2018 will likely sell out 'til Sep.

I remember when the Panigale came out in '12, i waited 6 weeks for delivery and paid full price.

In regards to the Survey, they cost company a lot of money, at the end could costing $50-100 / response. And sorry Ducati, my opinion is not free, throw in a free t-shirt, i give you my 2.

First of all, surveys today are not expensive. Yes, there was some cost to it, but not much. Second, why is your opinion not free? Do you not care what changes they might be willing on making based upon feedback? And for what it's worth, many people are not only going to not get a t-shirt, but they are going to pay Ducati $21,000 + to share their opinion of the bike.
Thanks from Ashes

Well, maybe they should have spent a few dollars more developing the survey. I just spent ten minutes filling it out, but now I cannot submit it because it keeps going back to my e-mail address and telling me to enter a valid address. It is my valid e-mail address. And Ducati sends me stuff on it all the time.

The only thing I can figure is that it is a .net address and it's looking for a .com. Nothing I can do a about it!
