1'29.4 for Lorenzo on the same circuit. Valia at 1'36.8, was only 7.4 seconds slower than a full-on MotoGP bike, on a stock V4 with the full Akra system and slicks. Impressive. Here is 44 Teeth's latest video.

Thanks from Lisjak and Riki

I Ride: 2016 Panigale R
Well so far everybody loves the engine and chassis. Feels smaller than the 43X lbs would suggest and power to school the 1299. Then the Speciale or V4S with optional Akra up's it again and walks over the stock V4. So far sounds like only gripe is price and subjective looks...

They all say it’s easier to ride than the 1299. Which is good and bad. The rear slide thing was neat to see. I hope people realize that the nannies can only save you to a certain point though. Being easier to ride might instill more confidence than they really have in riding ability.

We really haven't seen that over the last 10 years that electronics have gotten more prevalent on the track, it seems to me that the number of crashes at track days now is slightly lower than it used to be. The most common crashes we see are cold front tire corner entry low sides (which who knows, might be helped with the cornering ABS now), and the standard mid-corner low side from too much lean angle and/or choppy throttle/brake use (which theoretically should be helped with DTC). Well, and of course the most damaging crashes are "I didn't think I was going to make the corner, so I stood it up and ran off the track", then the most horrific crash imaginable happens in the grass or gravel! When it comes to that type of crash, the ever-increasing horsepower of these bikes can be an exacerbating factor as the terminal speed entering the braking zone is much higher with much smaller margin for error.
