And one more thing, be honest, how many of you that ride 1000 haven’t wished for more bottom and mid end ?

Low end grunt yes, but I believe the primary motivation for the higher cc is horsepower. Horsepower sells bikes. How can one not want to buy the bike with journalists saying it us the fastest bike tested yada yada.....

I mean I want one....damn magazines empty my wallet lol

That's not what Ducati has actually SAID on the matter, they said the 1000cc version of the engine could make the same top-end HP as the 1100cc, just that it has less lower-rpm torque and they thought it would be a better all-around bike with the meatier torque curve. I suspect when we see the V4R next year it will have similar, if not identical, top-end HP.

You donít need an extra 100cc for more street torque. You have to sacrifice done top end power. Ducati wanted it all, so they cheated. Itís okay, itís s street bike.

Other manufacturers donít do it because it cost money to develop two engines, and itís not worth it. Ducatiís answer to this additional cost in development is to raise the price, figuring their fans boys would pay, because it has the most power.

Canít wait to see if this strategy works.

Don’t think it takes a lot of development cost to bump up the cc .?
I mean most of the engine is the same .
