I Ride: Anything with 2 wheels!
Well, now we know that a 214 hp Superbike is also hot like all the others! LOL

Ride it away from cars and it cools down!

It’s always amusing these reviewers how the newest bike is so much better then “The Last One”. I remember when they were reviewing the 1299 with glowing drooling accolades. Now they review the V4 and they are pointing out all the short comings of the 1299! Guess they weren’t honest in reviewing the 1299. Taking their “expert” opinion with a grain of salt -these bozos.

I don't believe its a case that 44th didn't review the 1299 in an honest manner. Rather, I think its a case that the V4 has moved the bar in a way that what was 1st thought 1299s was as a very big step in handling has now been overshadowed with the improvements of using a V4 in a different frame with 3 years of electronic improvement.

In addition if you watch the 44teeth review of the 1299 3 years ago. They very much admit the fact that the 1299 is a lot of work to ride fast however they state that the bike is a huge improvement to the 2 stoke feel of the 1199.

My view is that after racing inline 4's for the better part of 20years. The 1x99 bikes are a lesson in, trust that the bike will do what you ask. It just goes about getting there in a way that is most defiantly very unsettling and requires a large amount of trust.

What 44th is saying is that the 1299 is bloody quick and work out. Where as the V4 is bloody quick but you can stay at that pace for a much longer time as well as not be mentally exhausted as well.

Best,

Blade

The street review is a important test imho.
As a racer I appreciate all the good stuff a bike has to offer to make you faster than the next guy.
I also enjoy the odd breakfast run, as do many of my fellow competitors.
Can we enjoy the bike at legal speeds , whilst still having the capability of a serious piece of kit ?
Just don’t think it’s ridiculous or biased. If anything it’s almost more important than a track test .
I’d wager than only a very small percentage ever see track use.
Just my 2c.....
Thanks from The Avidmoto and cavlino

These reviews are always b.s. anytime there is a new model of course it wins bike of the year regardless of the manufacturer.

Next year the new bmw s1000rr will be the best. Etc etc.

Just ride what you like and ignore these dumb things otherwise you do exactly what they want you to do....empty your wallet because it's the best bike ever made. Just rememberb its short lived until it's outdone in 1-2 years.

Heck my 2012 1199 has been me all time fav bike out of all I have had....and now it's considered a pile of shit lol

Well, that's the point isn't it? To make a bike that outperforms the last? Obviously if there are improvements being made you'll notice them and compare it to its predecessor.
