Can’t wait for the latest greatest bike only to be out done next year when the R is released.

i know money doesn't grow on trees, etc. but in order to keep the very best of relationships with your "dealers" it would be nice if you could use the money for a credit on future service or buying parts/accessories (which you know you're going to do) instead of getting a full refund (depending on how much you put down). probably would ensure you get first dibs on many more ducatis to come.

I wouldnít worry about the R . It wonít outdo the S.

Itís a different bike for a different application, that being completely based at Racing. There will be no electronic suspension.
And will only be 1000cc.

However you are right, it will be outdone eventually. A 1200 V4 perhaps.?
Another limited numbered bike.? It never ends haha.....

I Ride: 15 Pani R ( I weep a little sometimes )
The "R" for most, if not all Ducati models is a very special differentiation IMO. The intent and spirit of an R model is quite different than that of an S. YMMV.

I Ride: Anything with 2 wheels!
The base, S, Specials, R, SL all do the same thing. I am not sure why there is hate for any of them. We're lucky to have such an array of Ducati motorcycles. Besides, it's not like the R is going to be the weapon that takes you to the next level over the S. You'll still get passed by some gray beard on a 20 year old R1.
Thanks from Nitrouz, Veteran, Sherpa23 and 1 others
