The torque is missing which I suspected but if you donít have the pinned itís really not that exciting while the 1299 was just a fun bike .
I feel the riding position is a little more severe the previous bike sat s little ďflatter ď with less pressure on the wrist .
The tank has nice shape good to lock in knees and elbows but I definitely donít feel quicker .
Nice to see the air hitter now has easy access for a simpler change looking forward to receiving my exhaust and doing some suspension work .
Interesting indeed Wilkson. I wonder if the difference is drastic between the 1199 and 1299, as I was most definitely comparing it to my 1199R. I found them so different in character, with the v4 so much easier to ride. I do prefer the feedback on the 1199r though, but I haven't pushed the v4 enough to compare fairly.

Thanks for your post and feedback. Enjoy it in good health.

Having never ridden a v4, is it a noticeable difference to an inline 4 from the seat? I'm all for evolution, but I agree one thing that has always made me smile is just how different the duc twins feel after riding my s1000. The s1000 is honestly everything I could ever ask of a bike......its perfect.......almost too much in that the ride is kind d of boring. The ducs I have had have always lacked in every dept aside from looks, but they are just so involving and fun to ride its intoxicating. Does the new v4 feel that way or is it getting too similar to the run of the mill offerings out there from other brands?

If you like the S1000 you will really like the V4 a really nice bike that sits nicely between the S1000 and the L twin bikes .
It's all about the ride at the end of the day and the V4 will still give you a stiffy .
