Proper comparison is 1199 vs V4

Evening all,

Sorry for the delayed reply I have been away for a few days.

Just to be clear the bike was properly run in as per the Ducati manual. At the time of the latest failure it had done about 3500km...

As an update unfortunately the bike is still in the workshop..... (its spend over 6 weeks there since i took delivery).

For some reason despite the misfire rendering it unridable there are no error codes stored in the system. And because the Ducati techs over here are not much more than tyre fitters they are not up to the task of diagnosing the problem.
So what they are doing is taking it for a ride then downloading the riding logs, emailing them to Italy for review then waiting to see what the Italians say to try next.

Its been broken for over a week now and we are no further forward than the day it went wrong.

Is there a way for you to get the communications between the factory and the dealership over there, I'd be interested in looking at them for you to see if we could be of assistance.
As for not going straight to the track with these machines, we have broken a few in at the track and a few on the dyno, trust me when I say they can take it!

By the looks of it none of his issues have been caused by proper run in or the old trust me run in .

Might not be a bad idea... if I get one itíll be for racing... but I do love the fact that I can run the 1199 in HWT class along with other liter classes. Although HWT class in WERA is shrinking.
