And no hassles from the CA Police or Sherifs with the new 2019 change to the law? Where they can now stop you and fine you $1000 for being loud?

I Ride: Speciale V4, Ducati 1199S; 1200 Enduro, Scrambler 1100 sport, 748R, 1098S
Hey SJS, hows that going to go with the Harley riders? Down here they have some real loud pipes, that to me sound aweful, and somehow seem to get away with it.

I have the Akropovic full system on my Speciale and yes it is loud but not much more than my Panigale 1199. I am very cautious around built up areas and my neighbours homes etc.

I Ride: 2019 V4S
I've had many loud bikes before my V4S, but the Akrapovic slip on mufflers (baffles out) hurts my ears. I've actually started to wear ear plugs while going on longer rides and I've never done that before! Even with ear plugs in, it's still loud AF. Sounds great though. So no regrets!

I Ride: Motorcycles
SJS - I have not had the bike out in a couple of months. I am not overly worried about getting stopped for sound as my rides are mainly in the foothills. As mentioned there are tons of HD's running around with crazy loud pipes. The law has been in effect for years but the fine is new (previously fix-it ticket). It may become a track only bike as I am not spending the money to swap back now lol.

I don't think the CA cops will be puling over the Sons of Anarchy types for loud pipes....then again, it could be a dentist out being a rebel.

There is a stipulation on motorcycles. They don't have any of the noise requirements that cars do.

Definitely sounds different under load. I wear ear plugs either way, so doesn't make much difference either way. I have been black flagged at NCM without db killers first lap first session. 102 db restriction. So, in they went and short shifting commenced lol. Laguna is 90 db, FML. Federal standard is 96db. WTF California?
