I Ride: Ducati Panigale V4S
V4S at home 6 days until Barber

I got my V4S late Friday afternoon, I brought that cool Cycleworld magazine with me so the salesmen, shop owner and setup mechanic could sign it. I wonder if I could get the CEO to sign it?? My 32 dream has been realized. I can't wait to take her to Barber!! My first impression of the suspension is feel, feel, feel!! I can feel the front tire on every little road imperfection.
I have one big complaint, I've heard that Ducati's generate allot of heat around the tank. On my return trip to my home I rode the back roads with some stop and go traffic. I can safely say this bike will be terrible to ride in the summer time on city streets. I rode the bike for three hours thankfully the temps were in the low 60's.
That being said, I really don't care I finally have a Ducati in my garage.
Thanks from Phl, The Avidmoto, MotoX183 and 1 others

Congrats!! Iíve got another 24 hours to wait before I pick my new baby up. I will be trailering her down the Virginia (from Toronto) next weekend to break her in on the back of the dragon. Would you say the heat will just be uncomfortable? Or to the point of burning?

Uncomfortable, just stay hydrated. I'm going to put some more miles on her today. Temps will be in the 50's. You're taking her to Deal Gap? That place has changed so much since the last time i went (1995).

Where is this road located? What's the cross street and nearest town? My best friend and I are planning a day of riding after a track day.
I'm old school and hate the name "tail of the dragon" Deals Gap will always be Deals Gap to me. I still have the Sportrider magazine that really put the location on the map.
Thanks from Fbto

Congratulations on joining the Ducati family. When are you going to barber? I went there for the first time with STT a couple weeks ago and it's a beautiful track. It flows beautifully and folds in on itself a few times, only used 3rd and 4th gear on my 959 and it was super smooth. It should be great on the V4. Only shame is there isn't a long straight to stretch her legs like cota.

Have you been to barber before?

Yes took my Tuono there last year. That bike was a handfull. I hope the V4S will get around her much better. VIR is next or NCBIKE both tracks have a fairly long straight away.
