Thank you all for the constructive feedback. I am certainly not trading it for a ninja ! Lol. I bought this as my track bike and more so for the weekend away from city traffic. I kept my 17 Tuono for the commute to work , knowing that the new one will not be ideal for city traffic.

I guess I am going to have to get some leather pants for this beast! Good comment about the A-stars base layer. I have the exact same top part and it works well under my TechAir street jacket in hot weather.

Still, this thing is the most unapologetic piece of machinery I have owned. I guess that is secretly the reason I like it!
Thanks from DarR

My Ignition 2 pants did a good job of protecting my thighs and privates from the heat.

If you're referring to the Rev'it Gear 2 pants that matches your ignition 2 jacket then yes, they're not bad but the mesh part in the crotch does not insulate as well as Rev'it Masaru track pants.
I own both and they are great trousers.

Back from 100 mile ride. I had my other BMW pants on, a bit heavier with inner perforated liner and no issues with those. I think it is the liner that makes the difference. It creates a bit of an air layer. They are too hot for the summer though.. may look into something creative with my tailor.

But unfortunately they don't cover the entire subframe. Nor do they have heat shields that I'm aware of.
