The Akrapovic is expensive but that's what gives it the full (226) power.
It's not like I really had a choice.....

There are rumors with a supporting dyno comparison that shows the Termi system with umap makes more power than the Akra.... I'd take the results with a grain of salt though.

Termis are also more reasonably priced.

Same map or Termi has their own?

Its probably a very similar install as the 1199/1299 full system. With a decent tool kit you can do the install yourself. It's a b**ch of a job, but there's nothing technically difficult about it. For my 1199 full-termi system it took me about 13 hours over the course of two weekends using hand tools.

would installing your own Akra system void the warranty in any way?

Ducati performance will only send the tune to a Ducati service center so you wonít be able to install your own exhaust.

My bike is getting the exhaust on right now and they only charge me 8 hours. This is not even the dealership were I bought my bike so Iím not getting any special discount.

I Ride: V4S and Ninja 400. Dichotomy.
That exhaust is not easy to install, I just watched my techs do it on a Speciale we just got in. Yeah, I will not be doing that myself, let the pros do it. All of this stuff is getting more and more complicated all of the time with the "centralized mass" packaging of the bikes for better handling and all of the added electronics and related doo-dads and whiz-bangs. It's nothing like the exhaust I put on my own SV650 in 2001.
Thanks from The Avidmoto and cavlino
