Feedback on the v4 comfort seat

Has anyone tried the comfort seat for their v4?

I have not, well my bike hasn't even come in yet but anyway...

On the Ducati Panigale V4 Facebook group I asked about the V4 Touring package which includes the seat and an owner there said he was considering it and had the Ducati tech put it on so he could try it and the mounting holes did not line up. The seat is apparently a bit thicker and wider and the Ducati logo stiching is not attached very well. So he did not purchase the comfort seat.

Hopefully its a one-of bad one but be sure and check it out in person before buying just in case there is a whole batch of seats with that lack of quality finish.

Please do report back if you get to see one for yourself.

I have seen one in person but did not purchase. The quality looked nice but was waiting feedback from other that have tried it. The front of the seat is raised about an inch and the rear is about the same as the standard one.

I purchased one and I like the seat the padding is firmer then I thought it would be. I am hoping it will break in the more seat time i get.

Did you guys get a cover with yours? What's it for? Rain or just to keep it from fading in the sun?

I have one and have just covered over 1300 miles on it over 6 days during a tour of northern Spain.

For me, having come from a 1299 which also had the comfort seat, I did not find it as comfortable as the 1299 version. As mentioned, it is slightly higher and I find it puts more pressure on my wrists and is also not as soft as the 1299 version (I was hoping this tour would soften it up, but sadly not).

As it is made from Alcantara, they have to supply a rain cover which is also pretty useless and impractical to use.....all in all, I would not purchase again.

Right, like the panigale has storage for all of this

I talked to lulimoto about getting a cover done on the base seat and they said that there is not enough padding to add gel, they are looking at the comfort seat next. I have not installed the comfort seat yet, is it not worth it vs the base for your long trip?

Never seen one in person but by the look of it the major difference between the comfort and race is the cover material? Because the shape seems to be about the same. Is the padding any different? Anybody can collaborate with this information?

I ordered the race seat just now and it's on its way. I've always had the race seat on the previous panigale too because of the added height. Gave me much more control sliding back and forth and leg room.

Can't remember what the previous comfort seats looked like for the 1199/1299 but faintly remember that the shape was different than the race seat.
