Another option is a laser descrambler, if you can afford it. It doesn't flood the lidar, which the lidar gun will detect. It just descrambles the laser long enough to see the cop and slow down. And, it protects you from being lasered from the rear by motorcycle cops, who can "usually" catch you.

I know a guy in town that runs one on his Ferarri. I'm not sure where he gets it, they're not legal in Texas, but I know it's expensive.
Update: I did a quick Google search that yielded a few results.

The official and accepted names are laser jammers or parking sensors. Many laser jammers get around the legal aspects of jamming by doubling as parking sensors. As stated above, ANti Laser Priority or (ALP) is the undisputed king and has been for the last several years. Prior to that, it was Laser Interceptor.

Anyone who buys a laser jammer these days that isn't an ALP is wasting money. It is the only system which the manufacture consistently updates to keep you protected from variable pulse rate (VPR) lidar guns.

Also, due to me not riding on the street or touring as much anymore, I no longer have any of these countermeasure systems on my bikes. I do however have them in all of my cars. ALP strictly. My current radar detector is the Uniden R3. The only way I'll retire the R3 is if Uniden releases a new radar detector with arrows, which I know they are working on, or if Valentine Research ever releases the new V1.
