unfortunately the V4 in all the comparisons doesn't made a clear step forward with the times. The 1299 won many comparative, the V4 does not succeed.
power is not everything.

...? wat?

There's no conclusion to anything other than the 1299 obviously is going to have more torque. I have not seen a head to head track shoot out vs the V4.

I watched about half of that video. Saw a bit at the end too. Reminds me of an old saying.

"Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one."

I have not looked into the V4 much. Be nice to ride both and have a comparison. I would be comparing my MY12 1199S to the V4. Not enough coin to have both so will only know what my 1199 is like.

Sounds to me that this guy who made the video is clearly on the twin side and just pushing his own opinion. Bit of conspiracy theory stuff going on there too with the stuff about hp numbers. Probably someone had a few typos.

Correct, but in my case i can't obviously ride both at the same time, so i must deal with my feelings (much better the V4) and the chrono, till now lower with the twin, even if the difference is getting thin, but still over the second. Same days, same track, same rider.

if numbers were a the only criteria that mattered, then the 1299/1199 will always beat a 899/959at the track. It doesn't and that's pretty embarrassing for a flagship bike.

We're now talking about a bike that many experts who rode the bike to be a 600cc agility with liter power. It would bully the shit outta the super twin.

See? I can also make absurd hyperbole, all we know from that video is MOAR TORKZ.

I am really enjoying my V4s which is really what counts most unless you are racing. My limiting factor for lap times has always been me and not the bike If you prefer the twin and think the V4 is a step backwards then ride the twin!
Thanks from wilkson and 990Glen

Best post yet I'm sure none of us are out ridding these bikes . Proof will be when the V4 is racing WSBK and see how much easier it is to tune than the previous bike .
Posting stupid videos is just ridiculous .
Thanks from The Avidmoto, 990Glen and mtb
