I Ride: 1299 panigale
Panigale V4 vs 1299

Tested last week a v4s for the concession's very kind concession, 230km in two hours on the road. Assuming that I was the worst of the skeptics on this bike possessing the 1299 of 2017, the thing in the end that makes the difference on everything is the engine! It has more, point. Salt so fast that does not change that has two cylinders plus or minus torque or 15k revolutions, arrive immediately and after 12k in high gears begins the hyperspace, in the first and second to the great best of the two cylinders and the climbs (the notorious climb of max wrist) if you eat them you get 20km / h faster on all straights. Tested with all controls at 1 except the engine brake at 3 ie the minimum, the delivery according to me compared to the twin-cylinder is more aggressive if it opens well in the corners and with engine brake at idle it seems a two-stroke cornering, brakes better gearbox really perfect is not wrong a heat gear goes hot but is proportional to the performance of the engine the only thing doubtful are the electronic suspensions in dynamic ... I honestly do not feel them and some known holes absorbs them worse than the marzocchi of 50 not to mention the mono behind that in a highway junction I almost flew too hard for the road boh ... I then put the maximum speed before 1299 then the V4 that regardless of similar speeds, we get 500 meters before and quickly (kept the limiter for 4 seconds)

In short, excellent bike!

BaStoner, thanks for the input. I got the gist of it when you mentioned hyperspace Dynamic suspension OK but not great?

Let's say they are good for smooth asphalt, maybe for the track but on the road I do not feel all the difference and sometimes it is too stiff, otherwise it's a good bike!

Was the suspension set up for you? If not perhaps it would change your thinking.

They were set to dynamic, so completely electronic in all conditions .... in short, the setting that should be miraculous, but there is nothing miraculous, they are suspensions like others
