I Ride: Panigale V4S
It's a matter of what people find acceptable or not. Snowflakes don't like heat

if I am not at the track practicing or racing, on a incidentally cool to the nuts zx, I do Sunday canyon runs of about 200 to 300 miles. Either on the duke 1290 or R1 being my favorites. I always gravitate to these. They are cool for the nuts and comfortable in my opinion.
As a matter of fact, the R1 is probably more comfortable overall, especially when traveling at speed.
So if I rode my V4 , why should I think that roasting my nuts is acceptable ?
If I don’t like hot fookin nuts and some of you do , so be it.
To each his own.

And for what it’s worth, the v4 isn’t a racing bike with lights. It’s just a damn good superbike. No racier than any of the others.

I remember when I brought my 2012 1199 home. Rode it home from the dealer about 45 minutes.

Get in the house, and of course my wife and daughter are super excited. I run upstairs to put on shorts because I was overheating. Come downstairs and my daughter sees the burns on the insides of both thighs from the f'in exhaust. lol.

Yeah, it's hot. And its a Panigale. Some things in life are an exercise in self control. The Pani-dropper reinforced this for me every time I took it out...
