Thanks AdreiD,

Nice to see with the gold wheels, it really completes the bike.

That little engine has pride of place on my office desk, a great talking point.

I had all the Rizoma, screen and exhaust fitted at the first service. I also had those horrible rear cylinder plastic covers removed. All this compltes the Speciale.

I hope you enjoy it.

Yeah now it's sitting on my desk too.

I asked the dealer to install the exhaust straight away, no DB killers 😂

Also the race screen too but I don't know exactly what rear cylinder plastic covers are you referring to?!

The rear cylinders have black plastic covers over them not sure why. My guess is maybe to help with heat coming off the motor. I am curious to get Ducsyd input on how it feels with them off.

I can’t seem to upload photos, I will try again later today.

Yes they are the black plastic rear cylinder covers, my dealer mechanic said they are for noise (gear and cam noise) and for heat. They look awful.

When they put the Akro system on they had to remove the rear seat subframe, so I had him remove the covers, It really looks great now, like it should. But I understand why Ducati had to do that.

The agreement is if they are actually needed they will refit them for me. The mechanic said he checked with Ducati and there is no reason why they can’t be removed.

So far I don’t feel any more heat, and the extra engine sound doesn’t concern me, especially with the full exhaust system on, as it’s loud! So for now they stay off.
Thanks from Rich1199, Desmolvr and AndreiD

OK, here is a photo showing the cover removed from the rear cylinder.

I worked out my iPad can't upload for some reason...

Oh thanks. I thought you were talking about the black plastics that wrap around the rear exhaust.

I collect models. Where can I get the engine model shown on your seat? Do I have to go and buy a Speciale to get one?
