Ducati shows itself year over year about only caring about increasing profits and giving less and less to the end user. Anyone buying a new Ducati in 2017+ deserves what they get. The lack of reliability paired with outrageously high maintenance costs and horrific customer service should be the top reasons why you buy elsewhere.
I actually think the sound the thing makes is actually worth the admission fee even if it is taking one in the bum .

The original map is registered to the bikes Vin when installed by the dealership and is not eligible for resale or transfer. You bought an exhaust only, no mapping will get done unless somehow Ducati “generously” sells you a new map for probably $1,500 or so. There is no aftermarket solution to date that I’m aware of.

Tip- don’t buy used V4 exhausts and expect a fueling solution.

Ducati did away with maps being transferable. Do yourself a favor and buy a bike from a brand that doesn’t butt fuck it’s customers at every turn. The V4 map is downloaded by the installing dealer. I’m not sure how Ducati gets away with this given consumer laws in the us designed to specifically address despicable practices like this. This is a clear disincentive to buying a used system so they can get more of you suckers to spend $5,000 on some bent metal pipes new.

My $0.02
What is the Termi map that is sold for approx. $300 that was suggested to me (off the record) by a well placed Ducati tech manager?
