Never had a problem with my R1 mirrors snapping - both fixed and pivot

The mirrors are meant to break off so they don't pull/rip apart the bodywork. I'd rather my mirror break if I accidentally bump it in the garage than mess up the painted piece underneath. Eventually we'll see some adjustable aftermarket mirrors but haven't seen anything yet.

*edit: Scratch that, check these out: https://moto-science.com/collections...s-7593-94-pair

Anyone got these and how long are they compared to the original ones? If they are any shorter they will be more useless than they already are.

I like many other riders have had jap bikes and they don’t have mirrors breaking with very little effort or going loose at the pivot point.

Never seen fairing damage as they are supported by the fairing stay.

Just wondering if anyone has discovered aftermarket folding/pivoting mirrors that are reasonably priced?

I donít want block offs and bar end mirrors.

Also not after anything fancy because letís be honest the ones in there now are far from fancy or expensively made.

Carbon Vani makes some for the V4, that look pretty cool. But they are short, and it seems like your arms would block them.

I’ve put the moto-science ones on mine. They fold and don’t vibrate!

If you go to their website and look at the v4 section there is a pic of my bike right down the bottom.

I gave up, my standard mirrors were just horrible.

I went with the Futurismoto block of blinkers in alloy, they really are quite brilliant.
Went with a Rizoma spy arm bar end mirror in aluminium which is a work of art and is flawless, I can actually see what’s going on behind me now. I put this on my main side, for us that’s the right.
On the left I put the small diameter Rizoma blindside spy bar end mirror for legal purposes and to see in dual lanes before overtaking. Again in alloy.

I am very happy, and now have no ugly big black mirrors hanging off the front fairing.

Going to the track is simply removing the bar ends, all too easy.
Thanks from BenS5, idavid and AndreiD

I have a set of 100% carbon mirrors if you are interested. I was going to use but decided not to.
