I left a message with the Ducati customer service number on their website 1 (888) 391-5446. I wonder if they'll call me back??? I informed them to go to this forum site and look at the photos. I seriously doubt they'll call me back. Anyone have any suggestions?
I crashed one time during a WERA practice event back in 1996 when oil catch fairings were not required. It was a pretty nasty high side. It was my fault, the oil dipstick on my CBR600F3 was loose and dumped oil I really do not want to repeat that crash if I can help it.

Calling Ducati won’t help. File a report to the US DOT to get a safety recall going. If enough people report it, they will make Ducati do a recall for it. They did one for the front brake master cylinder on the Panigale.

I have emailed Ducati UK and Ducati HQ about this failure as this should be seen as a safety concern.

I was behind 'Chillo' when his oil cooler failed on Sunday, covering me and his bike in oil.

The back wheel was drenched in oil and quite frankly am surprised 'Chillo' is still of this earth.

I really have concerns about riding my bike and always have this failure in my head whilst having a spirited ride and would not expect this of a £24k plus bike.

Go here to file a actual complaint to the NHTSA.....they do take them seriously....be complete with it, but don't use nasty words or cuss Ducati out....fill the whole thing in. I suggest putting this on a V4S facebook page.

This is great information but my V4S has not had an oil cooler failure at this time. I would be untruthful if I gave them my vin. I think I'll try the 1800 number and attempt to save the photos on this site as objective evidence to see if we can get the ball rolling on another recall. Thanks for the information.

New oil cooler was installed today. As you can see on the picture, there is a small change around the joint... also got new rear tyre...
I hope it will be OK now

Wow!! the new oil cooler has been modified by Ducati. This means they (Ducati) was aware of this problem and have decided to take "reactive" approach to this problem. I certainly hope no one gets hurt. I will check my oil cooler for this modified oil cooler one. If I don't have the modified one I will do my best to raise hell about it.
