Potential Panigale V4 models in the works

For all the die hard Ducatista here that eat, breathe, and sleep this stuff...what kind of models can we expect in the future? I know this is pure speculation, but I'm curious what we all think. We currently have the Base, S, Speciale, and most recently the R and Corse colorway.

I think it's fair to assume we'll eventually see a Superleggera, and eventually a final edition. Doubt we'll see another Anniversario, but maybe another limited release? What about the refresh, similar to the 1098/1198, 1199/1299 transition? Being a 4 cylinder, I doubt we'll see another displacement increase, but they have to do something, right? Question is what!

You mean 1100? Only the R is 1000cc.

I think what we're all waiting for is a true motogp replica, like the D16RR

Well that didn’t take long, we are an impatient lot!

The Panigale is a street bike that races in WSBK, so when it starts its racing career you can bet all new R models will be improved over the years to remain competitive. Way too early yet to know what that could be as it hasn’t even had its first race.
The road stradale versions will have trickle down upgrades and face lifts.

It can’t ever be a moto go replica, Dorna owns both race series and there has to be differences between a road based series and the prototype series.

One thing is for certain, there won’t be many changes to the Panigale for a while yet, so enjoy it, and thanks for Ducati for giving us this superb V4. You can bet that this engine will find its way into other Ducati’s, expect the Multistrada to be the first. A V4 multi road tourer I’ll bet for sure.
Thanks from Ashes and YouUh

Let me rephrase, I want future sport bike models to be 1000cc so i can spend half as much as an R to race in amateur leagues. I would just make the R more premium with more titanium, carbon, aftermarket parts. This way, the R is more exclusive and is ultimately a better platform for racing while enabling amateurs to race regular base and S models.

I know it has been mentioned in other threads but most club racing organizations allow the current V4 so my thought would be no.

No need for 1000cc to race
