Especially the kawa was disappointing.. All hp at the very end of the RPM's, so not interesting for me. It seemed to have no torque. Mind, I own a K1300R, which has plenty of torque
The KTM was fun, but was too similar to my BMW.

The V4 had it all, very usable, torque at low RPM, plenty of hp at high RPM
Kept smiling for hours
Hello from a fellow K1300R owner too! How's that tract clutch working for you? 😂

But seriously now, the engine of the K1300R is pretty monstrous. And that torque, from down low, 5th gear at 30km/h and pulls that hard! How did you find the superduke compared to the K1300R (more details please!)? Did you find the KTM engine stronger than BMW's?

DO you still own the BMW?

Hello!!
I am still on the Ducatiforum?

I love my K1300R and it will never leave. Bought new in 2013. I use it for multi-day-holidays. Alps, Pyrenees, ...

The KTM is more agressive. It is a LOT shorter than the K1300R, which makes it more nervous. But, just as the K1300R, you can ride it calm as well. Plenty of torque, just take-off, put it in 5th and never change gear again.
My K1300R feels more stable. At higher speeds, the head of the KTM tends to shake a bit. Nothing to worry about, but the K1300R feels more on rails.
Both bikes are made for acceleration, rather than top speed.
When it comes to power, there is not a lot of difference for me. I would not trade my K1300R for a super duke r.
When you look at the numbers, the duke has 1Nm and 3hp extra... You don't feel that

I didn't even tested it. I watched the V4, read some comments here, I ordered one and then I registered here. Delivery will take place February 2019. Rode 20 years with R1's...
Hopefully Panigale's are as reliable as R1's :-)

Iím pretty much settled on the 959. Itís still a twin, better engineering, better electronics, more forgiving as I shake the rust off, and still a snarling Beast when I roll that throttle
Thanks from Phl
