Heated grips for V4S? How's the taller windscreen?

I searched for an answer here but couldn't find one: does Ducati make heated grips for the V4S? I'm using mine partially for a fast touring bike (just did a Bay Area to Las Vegas round trip; awesome!) and heated grips would be nice.

Ironically, the dealer agreed to include grips and the tail tidy as part of the deal but I think Ducati might not actually sell grips.

Related, is the taller windscreen a good option for longer trips on the V4S?

My Kriega tail bag straps arrive tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to ditching my backpack on the next trip.

Thanks.

I Ride: 2018 Speciale #312, 2019 BMW R1250GS, 2015 R1 Track Bike
The taller screen came with my bike and I would say yes it would help on longer rides.

There is no listing on Ducati's site for heated grips but there are probably after market ones that may work.

You might check into heated gear as well. You can get gloves and and jackets that plug in or to a power source on the bike or run off of batteries. I have found that heated grips help, but heated gloves are a little better.

Agree. I use electric gloves that run off the battery. Have not hooked up anything on the V4 yet, but pretty simple to do.

The OP just purchased a Multistrada. For sport touring, there's no substitute.
On that note, heated grips are great but there's no substitute for heated gloves or liners thereof.

Ducati lied

Ducati had said that heated grips would be available for the V4 but they lied. I had my dealer install the same heated grips on my previous 1199's, Heat Demon. These work great but remember to turn them off before you shut down the bike.

Taller windscreen is a must if you are a larger rider and intend to be at 160 plus much. Helmet turbulence much better with taller screen. FYI, glue black trim piece on, or leave it off entirely.

check to see if they have released a Zero Gravity sport touring screen yet. My buddy does the same as you only with the ZX-10, he swears by it! This creates a better path for the wind to travel than the taller Ducati screen i can imagine as the ZG touring one has an upward lip at the end.

As the other guys mentioned here, there are aftermarket ones that plug into the quick disconnect for your battery. The Oxford ones in my local shop. Holy **** they can get hot! They come in a variety of grip styles. TIP: I found that the less waffles and extra rubber they add for grip, the hotter they will feel.

But +1 for Heated gloves over the grips, especially if you're wearing heavy gloves already and its brutally cold.
