I have only wound mine to 236Klm/Hr and it was pulling like a freight train just clicked into 4th I think, the road dictated that a severe reduction in speed was required.

The best mod you can put on the V4 is the throttle spacer kit as it gets rid of the free play and makes keeping constant speed easy as pie.
Mines in the shop getting a sticker kit then the oil cooler, reduced clutch line from 3mm - 2mm and an oil & oil filter change, I do mine at 6000K intervals despite what Ducati say.

Welcome to the fraternity.....
I completely agree with you about not being able to use the bike to even half of it's potential on the street. I'm currently doing the 1000km break in and staying under 6,000rpm, and to be honest, you can't even go over 6,000rpm without being over the speed limit in most situations.

I actually already have the throttle spacers. I order them before I even got the bike and installed them as soon as I got home from the dealership. That throttle play would've annoyed me massively. So I'm glad I got them!

What sticker kit are you going? I was thinking about doing the Speciale kit from Vulture Bikes, but decided against it. I might just do the more subtle kit off the V4R.

My bike is a 2019 bike and only landed in Australia a couple of weeks ago and had all the recalls already done to it. The only recall the dealer had to do was the clutch line. I'm hoping there isn't too many recalls from now on.

You sure won't regret the V4 at all!

I like the front end of the S1000RR, but the side profile and tail section are just shocking and already dated in my opinion
The pooh brown coloured frame and engine casings are such a terrible contrast to the rest of the bike. Then you have nearly half of the bottom fairings missing because of the exhaust cat. Also, no Brembo brakes, no Ohlins suspension, no rear tail brake light and the troubles of fitting new tyers to the carbon wheel without damaging or chipping them. These factors made me decide to not wait for the riding comparison reviews between the BMW vs V4 and just pull the trigger on the Panigale.

I am almost certain the reviews for the new RR are going to be amazing and that it'll out perform the V4 on the street. I do really like that huge TFT screen, the carbon wheels and the big mid range torque that they're claiming it'll make, but I feel like the styling has let it down massively.

All my subjective opinions of course!

I was thinking about doing a clear film on the bike, but found out it's quite expensive to get done and I've already spent a small fortune on the exhaust and accessories. So it'll have to wait for a while other whys my Mrs will kill me! Haha
I have the same key ring, but I always take them off, so I wouldn't know what they're made of.

My clear film was free. My friend made a template as there wasn't one already. He did everything and some things I didn't expect. He allowed me to tip him $100.

I had the same exhaust kit installed before my V4S was delivered. I'm pretty sure my neighbors hate me.

Haha Yeah I reckon my neighbors feel the same way about me too

I do feel bad starting it up though, as it rattles and vibrates everything in my garage. I did not expect this exhaust to be so loud. I love it though!

When I purchased my bike, I had a list of mods, accessories, parts that I wanted to fit to it. I would search the forums, Instagram, Youtube and Google for info, pricing, fitment and pictures of them installed on the actual bike itself, to know what it'd look like with that part. Some of these parts cost a small fortune and I wanted to make sure I'd be 100% happy with it on my bike.

So I've decided that I'm going to post pics up of all the parts that I've fitted to my V4S so far. That way if someone was thinking about purchasing a certain part or accessory, they can look at these close up pics and decide for themselves.

Also, I'm happy to answer any questions that you may have about pricing, install etc.

I hope these help a few people with their future purchases
