Fingers crossed it fixes it and it becomes like the Aprilia one that was amazingly smooth but snappy like they should be

PLEASE let us know how it turns out, because I just had all my recall work done last Friday and when I brought this subject up I was told there was no adjustment to it. If you can get the part number that would be greatly appreciated.

The entire gear selector assembly on these bikes is a giant pile of gorilla shit. Take the stock QS and throw it in the trash. Get the TL unit and a simple set of rear sets that do not have a bunch of goofy mechanical linkage pieces to further complicate the already very sloppy linkage. Attack has rear sets for the V4 now as does Lightech that have precision bearing construction and a direct link design. That will get you in the ballpark. If you need adjustability in the architecture, it's going to cost more money.

I gotta give it a shot. My QS is far from ideal

I put a TL unit on my 1299S and itís still the same issues as the stock unit. 4-5Ė6 at speed on a race track is just dangerous! You almost get launched into the screen the deceleration is so severe!

I Ride: '16 Pani R, 1098R Bayliss, KTM1090R.
Was speaking to a guy recently who has had multiple QS units on his V4 under warranty without success.
Eventually they changed out gear position sensor and his problems disappeared.
His dealer said that they can be problematic in individual gears etc without totally failing.
Don't know how factual this is, but it may be worth a look.

Convincing my dealer to do it under warranty may prove difficult.
