Anyone had experience with this unit? Much more expansive than TL.

Don't know how factual this is, but it may be worth a look.

Was this straight from the bike owners mouth or was it from a guy who knew a guy who heard it at the pub? When I get mine back if it is still shit I will push them to try and replace it.

Interesting. My OEM QS failed, cutting power to engine randomly, so I got TL unit for my R. Just did a race track and worked flawlessly for me.

I did 10 track days with stock QS on my Pani V4S, with more than half of those at COTA. Its performance has been tolerable, but very far from ideal. The biggest issues I have experienced was when the fuel light would come on, I can't be sure why, but it has happened at least twice, coincidentally it was also either in the last or maybe second from the last session in a day, a very hot day too.

Shifting would become a total mess to the point that I had to pit in and abort a session. And it wont be particular gears, just across the board, randomly it wont shift, hesitate, etc. Maybe it had somehting to do with low fuel, but I never really lost power or anything like that, only during shifting.

The most dramatic experience was 2 weeks ago, COTA T20, it went into false neutral, I was getting frustrated and slammed it into first while at lean angle, rear locked up momentarily and went sideways no less than a foot (worn SC1 slick).

Apart from that its under performance has been more subtle, but still on some days I would avoid first gear all together or had to be more assertive with the shift forces between certain gears.

I decided to upgrade this part.

I am leaning towards this

but it is much more money than TL, although I think I know why, but I wish someone could chime in who had first hand experience.

I Ride: 2017 Panigale 1299s Anniversario, 2008 Desmosedici, 2014 BMW S1000r, 2018 Panigale V4.
There is also HM quickshifter,

Seems like there are 3 main options, TL vs IRC cs HM
Any has any experience with these?

Cordona is probably the biggest supplier of SGQS. They have their own branding and supply units to many other brands. Iím currently using the plug&play unit on a 1299 with a programmable software platform. So far, itís amazing.

I finally got my bike back from the dealer and took it for a spin and the QS seems better. Hard to tell on the street properly but it was giving some snappy kick in the pants shifts like my Aprilia used to. Still seemed laggy on some shifts but as I said hard to tell properly on the street. Positive so far

I ordered IRC. Will report after proper spankage.
