I’ve had this same issue with my 2019 V4S. I came from a 16 S1000RR the Ducati is way smoother on the down shifts however. So I would hate possibly losing some of that smoothness chasing better up shifts with a aftermarket unit. So I think I’ll deal with it.

Ordered mine today, will test it at Nurburgring in couple weeks.

Does the different ride modes eg sport and race affect the QS cut times?
Mine was starting to become a bit temperamental on my r over the last 500 miles or so and I changed from sport to race and it seems better! It bangs and cracks more and seems to less of delay/hesitant when I’m pushing it
I’ve done nearly 3000 hard miles now.

I thought I was going to be able to live with the less than stellar up shifts.
I was wrong wrong wrong I decided to change the sensor for the cordona unit.

Look here for the install.
V4 Cordona QS Install

My initial impressions are itís 100 percent better than the factory one.
A lot more precise and consistent. I didnít like how the factory shifter would upset the bike so much on those full throttle upshifts. With this one that is nonexistent. The down shifts are still butter smooth.

I noticed a bad habit of mine. With the factory shifter when I was going to upshift I would preload the shifter. With the cordona unit you canít do that with almost any pressure it activates. So a bad habit I have to fix.
Overall Iím super happy with my purchase.

I am interested in your bad habit and wondering if that was your problem all along and now wondering if I do that. Iím pretty sure I donít as I do change my foot position considerably to up shift but maybe you thought the same.

The dealer has replaced mine twice with the most recent one having a new updated part number. I havenít been able to ride it at the track yet but is does seem better for the short bursts I have had. Really canít test full throttle shifts from 4the gear and up on the roads around me.

No the factory QS just isnt that good. My S1000RR was near perfect on up shifts but not as smooth on downshifts. I noticed the QS was as smooth on the first ride home.

Different platform, but my 950 SP has the same issues. Its super smooth at part throttle but as soon as you get on it you may as well not use the QS, it feels like I'm missing a shift. I don't know how Ducati took such a big step backwards, the QS on my 1199 SL is perfect at part throttle and wide open alike. If anyone has a fix for the 950 SP I'm all ears.
