thanks for sharing Jarel that is super interesting to see. With motorcycle sales as they are in the US currently do you see something like a Naked V4 adding customers or peeling customers from another segment (Hyper, monster, super). I really wish they would take some ques from other manus and offer some smaller disp bike options. I think back to when ducati was creating entire new bike categories (hyper), it def feels like the lack of a design centerpiece (Pierre) leads to a feeling of stagnation in the model lineup. Down get me wrong this is an exciting time in general with the advent of the V4, I am just thinking about the bigger brand direction and model lineup...

Yeah, it's interesting. I think from our standpoint as a dealer, we'd LOVE some smaller displacement bikes to add to the mix. However it's a tough thing for Ducati to do for many reasons, both business and marketing. The Scrambler was an interesting direction for Ducati to go with a sub-brand, that could be something they do at some point with another sub-brand for smaller displacement bikes. The Ducati brand itself is premium, and they want it to stay premium. But an entry-level sub brand for Ducati would be interesting, smaller-displacement sportbikes and naked bikes, etc. I don't know if they'll ever do it though.
Thanks from KarlKani

I own a 1098 streetfighter s and it is not even a similar bike to a hyper or monster. It is a completely different beast and I do not believe it would change sales much. If priced properly it could sell well as evidenced by KTM Superduke and Aprilia Tuono. The Streetfighter was a bit too ahead of it's time and probably a bit too brutal in power delivery but it is and amazing machine.
