v4r fuel overflow issue!

Heads up for fellow R riders!
Keep an eye on your fuel overflow pipe.
On mine I have filled it to the neck of the tank when bike is on it's side stand exactly the same as I did on my old v4s (so definitely not overfilled!)
After riding several miles if I did a firm stop there would be a significant amount of fuel coming out of the overflow pipe under the bike!
Apparently Ducati (in the uk) are aware as they have received a number of reports of v4r with this!
I've not been told of what is causing this or if there is a fix?
Wonder if the few early v4 that caught fire last year had this?
Thanks from mordor

THAT IS OVERFILLED!!!! Don't fill any of the tanks up to the neck, always leave an air gap at the top for fuel expansion as it gets hot.

NEVER Had these symptoms with my v4s despite brimming the bike while sat on it.
To be clear, when I filled the bike it was at or below the inner neck of the tank, the bike is on its side stand so there is still an air gap, that’s NOT overfilling!
Also ambient temp was 8C at the time so definitely not hot!
Further after doing 3-4 hard miles which will consumed some of the fuel it still had fuel coming out the fuel overflow pipe?
My dealer also advised that Ducati UK have received reports of this across the board from other v4r owners in the uk!

First thing I would think are bad or missing fuel cap gaskets. Curious as to what they find.

I’ve had this happen on multiple bikes, including my Suzukis and Hondas. Just like Jarel says, leave some room. No big deal.

I never put more than 2 gallons in mine, Race only... I did read in my V4R owners manual never to fill tank so fuel flows into the fuel neck or this can occur..

Update:

My dealer believes they have pinpointed the issue.
There is a split in the fuel tank cap seal, which makes the fuel leak past the seal when the bike is running and moving about, then it runs down the breather hoses out to under the bike.
They are going to confirm when the new part is fitted and tested.

Update on my bike.
New fuel cap fitted to the bike as the dealer found out part of the fuel cap insert had a spilt in it.
Tested with a full tank and some hard stops and i'm still getting fuel dripping under the bike ('looks' like out of the overflow pipe). But definitely not as much as before.
I did some further tests after doing about 30 fairly brisk miles and still got a few drips after a hard stop!
Not sure what the answer is to this?
I'm going to get the Rizoma DP fuel cap to see if this is any better?
