V4R damage

I was just informed today my bike was damaged during shipping.
I was wondering if anyone with an R could tell me how the winglet was attached? Is it just to the fairing? I’m wondering if the fairing could have suffered cracks from this? The shipping company has been very responsive and they are bringing back to the dealership they picked it up from to have repairs done but I’m wondering what else I should have them be looking for besides the obvious. Winglet, brake lever and Bar end. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have the dealership do a thorough inspection of the entire bike. Some damage may not be immediately visible. Was the bike dropped on its side or hit by another vehicle/object?

Winglet is 2 bolts to the fairing. Have a close look inside the front fairing, headlight covers, etc in the same area for other damage. The fairing pieces are a bit more intricate on the V4/V4R family as the side fairings extend all the way to the front too.

You aren't the only one whose fairing was damaged in shipping

Just me but I wouldn't take delivery of a damaged bike. It's the unseen damage that would worry me.

It’s back at the dealers now. They are taking it apart. Unfortunately i was taking delivery from an out of State dealership and I arranged shipping. I officially took ownership when they picked it up. It was the shipper that damaged it. Stuff happenHappens. I was mainly worried about unseen damage of the fairingand the throttle tube plus maybe brake master cyclinder, as I’ve seen low sides to damage all the above. I’m prob being paranoid though. Shipper has been great in regards to repairs so that’s a small bright spot on a shitty situation. He had the dealer order parts within an hour of the incident, on his dime of course. I’ll update once I get the total damage report from the dealer.
