Duke you only live once if you have the dollars go after the Corse. You may be problem free or may have a few issues.
But at the end of the day if owning a sportbike is your thing what could you buy that would be more exciting and cooler than a Ducati Superbike? Nothing !!!
The Aprilia is cool but at the end of the day it still looks dated. They could stuff 235hp into the thing I still wouldn't buy one.
Also there is just something special about a bike with a single sided swing arm. 916,996,998 1098,1198,848, and etc.
Honda's RC30 and RC45.
You could buy the new BMW
but its not going to sound like rolling thunder when you fit a Akrapovic.
The R1 is cool but I see a lot of people throwing money at it to make it a better this and better that bike. They just should have brought a base V4...

Thank you for the encouragement Goshow, my gut is telling me the same thing. My biggest concern is that I have this motorcycle that looks like a piece of art with amazing performance, but when it's all said and done, that's all it is, a $30,000 piece of art. I just want to be able to ride it often and keep it for a long time without spending as much as I paid for it to do so. I'm trying to figure out if that's unrealistic or not. All the feedback and advice is greatly appreciated and very helpful.

Guess you guys have never had the MV Augusta Experience.

Waiting 7 months for a sensor to be made form the supplier (MVA refused just to take one off a floor model and put the wait all on the customer)
and having next to no after market parts.

Thatís probably why you never see high-mileage units for sale. Thereís 4 of em here in N. IL for sale. And theyíve been sitting for a LONG time...

I Ride: 18 Panigale V4S, 17 Aprilia Tuono Factory
I bought V4S as soon as it came out. Apart from getting recalls done, which is hardly an issue in itself, I have not had any reliability issues. 7000 miles, 10 track days. This is my first Ducati, and I have become a die hard desmo fan On the track there is nothing like it.

I Ride: 2015 Panigale R and 2018 1299rFE
This is hilarious, don't worry about the bike, hell i bought an R and crashed it at the track, no biggie. IF you are in question don't bother owning one youll be a worry wort the entire time. Being nervous about owning something takes the fun out of it

think the bike had only like 1500kms (2016 F4rr (was just pass first service) the TPS sensor went and there wasnt one anyway in the world. The dealership ask the main distributor to take one off a demo bike or the like to keep the customer happy, they wouldnt. Then dealership said it couldnt give him a loaner bike that long either. So poor guys bike sat as an expensive life size bike model untill new part came. Then while trying to sell it, he had to replace the headlight plug as the terminations were causing problems. He has a new R1M now.

end of day the dealership/distributor could of done this a certain way and shown a good level of service and keep a custormer happy. But they didnt and now MVA name is further dirt.
