👍 I am sure it was worth it. I feel so blessed that COTA is so close to Houston. This is like a compensation for all the boring roads in the immediate vicinity that we have around here. Luckily the season is also never ending

Hey man

Do you mind telling me what parts you need to do the V4R front

Are they parts direct from the dealer?

Or what do you need

And finally do the wings help you?

I was getting major headshake from the middle of the back straight on at cota

Yes, those are just standard V4R parts, it fits all factory with no bs. It is best to order through dealer so they can order all the right bits and pieces based on the diagrams. It will run about 3 grand, depending on your discount. I am sure aftermarket is around the corner, but I had this done as soon as V4R came out

You need:
1. Two large side pieces
2. Front piece
3. Bubble (it is ever so slightly larger)
4. Winglets
5. Two plastic brackets (circled in red)
6. All the foam bits
7. Harware, clips, velcros, rubber grommets
8. Four nuts holding the winglets

Yes, winglets definitely work. It is not night and day, but I feel less wheely, more stability up front, it does calm down the front at very high speeds. I used to get pretty big headshake at the point you describe, but I largely solved it by turning up some steering damper. But I think wings made it even better planted. Again, it is not night and day, but added cool factor sealed it for me

Thanks for the info man

I have seen some aftermarket wings, but I want to make sure they are tested to produce downforce, not just for looks

Anyone has experience with some aftermarket winglets ?

I donít have the experience with aftermarket, but I really did not want something that was not wind tunnel tested. Another point is that the R fairing is way more massive so you can hide better at serious speeds. And side panels are hefty and beefy so they can withstand added load from some downforce that is being produced.

Wind tunnel testing is uber pricy, I doubt anyone tested alternatives, but they can copy as much as possible, thatís about the best you can aftermarket.

My comment regarding aftermarket above was more like getting all the exact bits, but cheaper, not just winglets bolted on to standard S fairing.

You are absolutely right man

Stock fairings don’t protect enough from wind at really high speeds
